About

KEY CITY STEAMPUNK CONVENTION

The Key City Steampunk Convention is the yearly gathering of Steampunk enthusiasts.  Beginning in 2016 in Frederick Maryland, the convention has continued to grow and evolve into one of the most prominent events on the East Coast, and with attendees traveling from far and wide to join in the festivities.

Currently hosted at the Wyndham Gettysburg, in Gettysburg Pennsylvania, the event continues to feature award winning makers and panels, vetted and unique vendors, workshops, and most importantly, the opportunity for those in the community to interact and share their love of all things Steampunk.

2024 promises to continue this tradition, as well as continuing to strike out into new and exciting avenues for our attendees to explore and interact with each other and the event.

MEET THE

TEAM

producer/talent aquisition

Tobias McCurry

Tobias, for many moons, has been specializing in costume design, prop making, and performance. He gained infamy through his appearance on the TV show Steampunk’d and is known for his unique approach to costume design in which he integrates special effects and often realistic practicality. With a background in performance, including sword fighting, fire breathing, stilt walking, and over ten years of technical theatre and live event production experience, Tobias is a jack of all trades in many fields.

producer/vending coordinator

Sheila Fadrosh

Sheila Fadrosh has been the Key City Vendor Coordinator since 2018. If you are interested in selling your amazing wares, Sheila is the person to see! She is also on the production team, and writes a lot of our copy which she’s totally better at than writing her own bio. She’s a cosplayer and fabric artist when not coordinating and producing.

producer/registration maven

Jackie LaMattina

The Registration Maven aka Jackie LaMattina can be found in her natural habitat of Spreadsheets and Hookah Lounges and has been doing Convention admin and sales work for nearly 15 years. Approach with food, bourbon or wine and your new shiney fixation so that you both may caw excitedly! See you at Reg!!

Social Media Coordinator

Leah Blaydon

Leah Blaydon is one half of the Silverwolf Leather dynamic duo, run jointly for the last 7 years with her partner Steve Blaydon. She helps to boost the social media signal with her wordsmith hobby. Her other hobbies include knitting, snowmaking, and encouraging others to greatness.

Logistics Coordinator

Joshua Leder

Greetings and salutations! I am here to tell you of the great and charismatic Joshua! Using his Labrador energy reserves, he makes sure that the powers that be have less to worry about than they think they need to worry about. He also is the main liaison to the special guests (airport driver), procurer of stuff and things (Walmart runs), and key grip to set up and break down (He has hands..mostly). While always smiling and having a great time making sure the guests are having a safe and fun time doing what you guests do. Always feel free to approach him with questions or concerns as he loves to help and always available to everyone. I hear he has a huge toy collection.

Producer / Operations

Brian Fadrosh

Since 2015 when he found the Pennsylvania Steampunk facebook page (…everyone take out your phone and join it now) he’s been involved in the Steampunk Community.  Whether as a Foamsmith at BrianFadroshDesigns, the Lead Admin of Pennsylvania Steampunk (no seriously, get out your phone and join) or one half of Building Steam with his partner in all things Sheila Fadrosh, you can find him supporting the Steampunk Community and Makers everywhere in any way he can.

Technical Director

Bolin Hsu

Bolin hails from the Great Green North of Washington State. He’s the Resident Gorilla, tech director, and a fledgling panelist and presenter. In real life, he sails traditionally rigged sailing vessels and is a historical fencing coach. Fun fact: Bolin owns more swords than he does pairs of pants!

Volunteer Coordinator

Otter

Otter is not just good at juggling rocks. He’s also adept at juggling schedules and a squad of fantastic volunteers. He’s no Roy Kent but he is here and there and everywhere thoughout the event.
