Frequently Asked Questions

What is Steampunk?

We think Steampunk is whatever you want it to be, but the classic definition is a subgenre of science fiction that combines Victorian-era aesthetics and technology with modern elements. It’s often set in an alternate history where steam power is still in use, or in a fantasy world with a similar setting.

What are the available food options?

The hotel itself is home to the 1863 Restuarant.  In addition the hotel also provides a concessions stand during the event.  Located just minutes away from downtown Gettysburg there are numerous restaurants and food offerings within minutes of the venue.

Do I need to have a costume?

While Cosplay (the act of dressing as a favorite character) is always encouraged, it is most definitely not a requirement.

Is the Event family friendly?

Key City prides itself in providing a safe and engaging Event for all ages.  While the majority of the event is geared for adults, we make every available attempt to include the kids, and ensure parents are made aware of any adult themed panels or events beforehand.

What are the hours of the Event?

The hours of the event are 4pm to midnight on Friday the 7th, 10am to midnight on Saturday the 8th, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday the 9th.
