Handmade Small Chore Brooms

Make a small chore broom for all your tiny cleaning needs: keyboards, tabletops, counters, etc. Hang it from your belt and be prepared for all emergency cleaning situations.
Materials provided. Workshop fees $12 per person.  Ages 15+.  Limit 12 people.

Thursday Night Pizza Party with steampunk Xena and Tea Tzar Miah

Join Steampunk Xena and Tea Tzar Miah for pizza and drinks in the lobby at 7pm Thursday! We will have a variety of pizza as well as non alcoholic beverages. We encourage everyone to grab a quick slice while unloading and/or sit a spell and chat with us!

Steampunk Noir Goggle

Decorating Workshop

Step into the intriguing world of steampunk noir with our Design Your Own Goggle Workshop, hosted by the Kolleen Kilduff from Design by Night. Immerse yourself in the creative process as you transform a pair of base goggles into a personalized masterpiece, adding that perfect touch to your ensemble.

The workshop fee of $13.00 per person provides you with all the tools and accessories needed to bring your vision to life. Unleash your creativity by customizing every detail, from intricate gears to mysterious lenses, creating a pair of moody and unique goggles that reflect your individual style.

Workshop attendance limited to 30 participants. 

Nerf Gun Dueling

Step into the intense action of our NERF Dueling Challenge at Key City Steampunk! Feel the adrenaline as you and your rivals face off in a high-stakes duel. Armed with NERF pistols and just three darts, you’ll walk ten paces, turn, and fire. Precision and strategy will determine who stands victorious and who falls.

Safety is paramount—eye protection is mandatory for all (and will be provided). This is no ordinary game; it’s a gritty test of skill and nerve. Mayor Tony himself will oversee the event, ensuring every duel is as thrilling as it is fierce. Don’t miss your chance to prove your mettle in this unforgiving arena. Every shot counts. Be ready.

 

Embossed Copper Bookmark

This mini workshop allows you to emboss copper sheet in a rolling mill and add acrylic paint for contrast before finishing it off with a satin tassel.

Workshop has a  $10.00 fee.

The Metal Mixologist is a copper artist and art studio based out of Hershey, PA specializing in realistic copper flowers that bloom forever. 

HCS Bootlegger race

Dave Lee and the folks at HCS will be overseeing a variation of their always entertaining “death race”…but this time…it’s gonna be a Bootlegger’s Race.

Make Some Tea With CTT!

Clockwise Tea Traders (formerly B&C) is proud to present their tea blending workshop. Work with the mind behind CTT to create your own one ounce custom blend.

We will begin with a black tea base and layer with various inclusions to create your perfect cup of tea. Once completed, we will seal the blend to maintain freshness and ponder the perfect name for the label. A delightful souvenir to take home, gift, or sip during the weekend! This workshop is drop in at any point during the run time. If you have any allergy concerns, please speak to Kylene at the Clockwise Tea Traders booth or prior to the workshop.

There is no participant limit.  Blends cost $7.00 ea.

 

Curio Cabinet “In-A-Jar” Workshop

In this workshop, we will be crafting our OWN miniature version of a Curio Cabinet inside a glass jar! A predecessor to the modern museum, the Cabinet of Curiosity dates back to the 16th century. Often housing a collection of objects including natural history, geology, historical relics, and antiques, they have a rich history across a spectrum of humble collectors and prominent socialites. Limit: one jar per person, and all materials will be provided. Fee: $25 per person (per jar).

This workshop will be limited to 25 people.

 

Decorate Your Own Hat

Embark on a journey of self-expression and style at our exclusive “Decorate Your Own Hat” workshop with the headgear artisan Kolleen from Design by Night.

Discover the joy of personalizing your headwear as you delve into an array of millinery trims, leather accents, and an eclectic assortment of found objects, all provided for your creative pleasure. Kolleen, with her expertise in crafting unique and distinctive headpieces, will guide you through the process of transforming a plain hat base into a wearable work of art.

Choose from an enticing selection of hat colors and styles, including top hats, fascinators, pirate hats, and bowlers, to find the perfect canvas for your imaginative endeavors.

Workshop will require a $35.00 Material Fee

Silk Fan Dancing

In this Introduction to Dancing with Silk Fans we’ll explore the fabulous art of fan dance! No experience is necessary as we’ll cover beginner movements and styles relevant to all manner of dance including belly dance, burlesque and flow arts. We’ll learn movements and techniques and put together some simple choreography! You’ve been sitting in panels *all day* so let’s stretch and Dance It Out!

Come try something new or add to your Silk Fan dance repertoire! See you on the dance floor 🙂

**Comfortable, flexible, dance clothing/shoes encouraged for this class. Shannon M. has been involved in some manner of dance since she was able to walk. From ballet to belly dance, her love of dance evolved as she discovered the flow arts community and the joy of dancing with props. One magical summer night a friend and fellow performer put a pair of fans in her hands and she never looked back. She’s enjoyed perfecting her art and has danced with notable troupes including Dance Afire Productions and has appeared at internationally recognized events like The DC Fetish Ball.

 

Crit Rolls Dice Making

This is a two-part dice class where you will be able to use hand-made molds to cast your own 7-piece dice set. An array of alcohol inks, mica powders, pigment pastes will be available. I do recommend wearing something that you don’t mind getting ruined (particularly for the pouring class) and coming in with an idea of colors or a design as the options can get overwhelming. The first part will be picking your design and executing it pouring resin and the second part consists of sanding and inking after the resin has had time to cure in my pressure pots.

$60.00 Materials Fee and preregistration will be required 

 

LED FLOW PARTY

Join Steampunk Xena for a flow jam like no other! You can watch Xena and others as they spin professional props, while playing with your own foam LED wand! We encourage people to bring their own props from home, so if you have a prop you’ve been itching to try out in public bows your chance! We will be dancing to some fantastic electroswing beats, so kick up your heels and come play! All ages welcome!

Our Build-A-Beard Workshop is your chance to create your own false facial hair to hide your true identity! Materials provided are mostly leather. You are welcome to bring items to use or attach to your work. There is a materials fee of $10 and this workshop is limited.
